Activemag® 92 is a is white, self-flowing, odorless, calcined magnesium oxide powder produced under controlled conditions and milled to fine particle size to achieve high chemical reactivity and specific surface area.
Main Uses & Advantages
Magnesia cement panels are eco-friendly, lightweight insulating panels or building boards for various architectural applications exhibiting high mechanical strength, high resistance to fire and low water take-up compared to conventional gypsum panels. Typically, Sorel magnesia cements are used, i.e. oxychloride or oxysulfate cements.
Activemag® 92 powder is suitable for special magnesia panel applications requiring an MgO of higher purity and reactivity to exhibit faster cement setting times and high mechanical strength. Example applications are fire-proof finishing for wood-base boards or special magnesia cement plasters and panel coatings.
Packaging & Storage
Activemag® 92 is available in powder form: In big bags, with or without bottom spout. In 25kg paper bags on pallets, wrapped in shrink film.
ActiveMag® 92 has a shelf life of 12 months provided that the product is stored in a clean dry storage area and is protected from moisture with PE-foil. Magnesium oxide absorbs moisture from the air and forms lumps. Always re-seal partly used pallets and single bags with PE-foil.
