NK3 is a low iron, moderately reactive calcined magnesium oxide, produced under closely controlled conditions to give an accurately sized material with low impurity levels, ideal SiO2/CaO ratio, excellent flow properties and low dust levels.
Main Uses & Advantages
NK3, due to its unique physiochemical properties has been successfully used for many decades already, as (fusion) feed stock in the production of top-quality/top-performance electrical grade fused magnesia (EGFM) powders.
EGFM powders produced with NK3 are used to manufacture high temperature heating elements, for various heavy duty industrial applications (i.e., galley products, railway heating, industrial boilers, etc.)
Packaging & Storage
NK3 is available in granular form & packed in big bags, with or without bottom spout.
NK3 has a shelf life of 12 months provided that the product is stored in a clean dry storage area under proper conditions. Magnesium oxide absorbs moisture from the air and forms lumps. Always re-seal partly used bags.
