Gypsum panels

Silicone additives are typically used in gypsum panel formulations to impart waterproofing. In such cases special caustic calcined magnesia grades may be used as catalyst to enhance and accelerate the curing of silicon and increase its water-repellent performance. In many cases, the increase in performance is such that enables the reduction of silicon loadings and the saving of material costs.
