Activemag^® 92 DF for Drilling Fluids

Main Uses & Advantages

Drilling fluids are mixtures of natural and synthetic chemical compounds suspended in a liquid that aid the drilling of boreholes in Oil & Gas production or in simpler operations such as water drilling.

Activemag^® 92DF powder is suitable for a wide range of drilling fluid applications such as: an alkalinity agent and pH buffer, anti-microbial growth additive, clay activator/viscosifier and bridging agent in drill-in fluids.

Activemag^® 92DF is especially suitable for higher purity and reactivity applications. It can also effectively act as an efficient self-buffering agent, safer to use than caustic soda and lime, reducing the potential for polymer hydrolysis and precipitate formation. It is highly soluble in mineral acids, easily dissolved by clean-up acid solutions.

Packaging & Storage

Activemag^® 92DF is available in In big bags, with or without bottom spout. In 25 kg paper bags on pallets, wrapped in shrink foil.

Activemag^® 92DF has a shelf life of 12 months provided that the product is stored in a clean dry storage area under proper conditions. Magnesium oxide absorbs moisture from the air and forms lumps. Always re-seal partly used bags.
