Grecian Magnesite S.A., in a Joint Venture with NICHE Fused Magnesia Ltd (NFM), the leading global player in the electrical grade magnesia market, manufactures, under NFM’s license, an electrical grade magnesia (EGM) powder with the brand name “Electromag® CB”.
This robust and reliable venture has now been running successfully for more than 20 years. The Electromag® CB is produced in Grecian Magnesite’s 10.000tpa EGM plant in Chalkidiki, Greece, using raw materials from our mines and a special formulation additives package supplied by NFM.
Electromag® CB main raw material is a specially crushed & classified Dead burned Magnesia with low iron content & trace elements, specific SiO2/CaO ratio and other unique physiochemical characteristics.
The venture’s distinctive combination of experience and expertise, based on extensive knowledge of raw materials, process know-how and market requirements, guarantees the consistent supply of a high-performance EGM product with proven reliability, cost competitiveness and efficient logistics solutions.
Main Uses & Advantages
Electrical grade magnesia (EGM) powder is used as electrical insulation filler between the coil and the outer sheath of the heating elements, due to its thermal conductivity and high electrical resistivity at elevated temperatures.
The Electromag® CB is the best choice for low temperature heating elements and it is widely used in household, industrial and automotive heating element applications. The final product can be supplied as plain (Electromag® CB grade) or silicone coated (Electromag® CB ST grade).
Prior to sales, the final product is rigorously tested in both QC departments, firstly by Grecian Magnesite and then by NFM for the final approval.
The Electromag® CB is distributed in the markets of Italy, Poland, Ukraine, Turkey, India, S.Korea and other countries, via a strong global network of agents and distributors.
