GRECMAGN® CAST
GRECMAGN® CAST is perfectly suitable for preparing precast shapes of a tundish or other parts of the steel plant, that can set quickly at room temperature. The green strength of the final shape can be maximized when minimum water is added (i.e., 5%).
After an 8 hour setting, the castable can exhibit high green strength (at least 15ΜPa). After setting and demolding, proper drying up to 350οC is needed (related with equipment and precast dimensions). During drying, ammonia is emitted and a ventilation system is required.
GRECMAGN® CAST is available: in 25kg paper bags, 500kg, 1.000kg, 1.500kg or 2.000kg big bags with or without inner nylon, with or without bottom spout, on any kind of wooden pallet, according to customer’s requirements.
The product has a shelf life of 6 months, provided that are stored in a clean, dry storage area under proper conditions.

Special Castables
For the manufacture of special shapes needed in various stages of the steel making process, especially designed MgO mixes are used, which in mix with water are casted in the appropriate molds. The molds are then passed through adequate thermal process for the drying, curing and strengthening of the final shape.
