One year of operation for our Yerakini Solar Park

And one more proud moment for our sustainable mining agenda!

Over its first year of operation, the solar park installed in our Yerakini mines has generated over 1,8 million kWh of clean energy, surpassing initial expectations and covering more than 7,5% of the overall Yerakini – Polygyros mining complex’s energy needs.

Additionally, by operating the solar park equipped with over 1.800 bifacial panels, we have slashed approximately 650 metric tons of CO₂ emissions, reinforcing our ongoing commitment to sustainability. 

Looking ahead, Grecian Magnesite plans to expand its renewable energy projects across Greece and Turkey.
