Ladles

The ladles are fed with the liquid steel from the EAF units. The simplest case is just to transfer the steel to the continuous casting unit, but secondary metallurgy is also performed in the ladles. The role of the basic monolithic refractory grades is to protect the permanent lining of the ladle from the corrosion.
